Kostal Kartilajla Burun RekonstrüksiyonuTuncer S., Aydın İ., Ermiş İ., Kesim S.N., Karabulut A.B.Amaç: Kostal kartilaj greftleri kullanarak yapılan burun rekonstrüksiyonu ameliyatlarının değerlendirilmesi.
Hastalar ve Yöntemler: Kliniğimizde dört yıllık süre içerisinde dört hastada travmaya, sekiz hastada rinoplasti komplikasyonuna bağlı "saddie nose" deformiteli 12 hastaya kosfal kartilaj grefti ile burun rekonstrüksiyonu yapıldı.
Bulgular: Takip süresi içerisinde greftlerde yer değiştirme, enfeksiyon, greft eksposuru, görünüm şikayeti olmadı. Peroperalif ve postoperatif erken dönemde pnömotoraks gelişmedi. Yeterli dorsum yüksekliği ve profil konturu sağlandı.
Sonuç: Kostal kartilaj greftleri istenilen boyutta hazırlanabilen, kemik greftlerine ve sentetik materyallere bariz üstünlüğü olan, orta ve ileri derece "saddie nose" deformitelerinde nasal dorsum desteği sağlanmasında ve kontür düzeltilmesinde ideal materyaldir.
Reconstruction of Nose with Costal CartilageTuncer S., Aydın İ., Ermiş İ., Kesim S.N., Karabulut A.B.Objectives: To evaluate reconstructive operations of the nose with costal earlilage.
Patients and Methods: Reconstruction of the nose with costal cartilage were performed in twelve patients with saddie nose deformities during a four-year period. Eight and four patients had a history of previous rhinoplasti and trauma, respectively.
Results: There were no displacement or exposition of grafts, infections and aesthetic complications. Nor did pneumothorax occur in the perioperative and early postoperative period. A sufficient darsal height and profile of the nose was achieved.
Conclusion: Costal cartilage grafts appear to be ideal material for restoration of moderate to severe saddie nose deformities, with variable size and remarkable advantages over bone grafts and artificial grafts, enabling proper nasal support and contour design.
