Metastatic Renal Cell Carcinoma From A Primary Tumor Removed 2 Years Previosly:A Case ReportBerk D., Ünver Ş., Kubilay U., Özkırış M., Haytoğlu S., Sezen O.Hypernephroma represents 3% of all adult malignancies. Distant metastasis commonly occur. The more frequent sites are the lungs (76%), the bones (42%),and the liver (%41).5 When the incidence of metastatic renal carcinoma to the head and neck region was reviewed, it was found that this type of tumour has been responsible for 14.3 percent of metastases.. 8% of patients the presenting clinical manifestation of the tumor is disease in the head and neck. Only 1% of the patients with hypernephroma have no other obvious metastasis except than the head and neck. clinical behavior of renal cell carcinoma is often unpredictable in its rate for growth, in the timing of metastasis, and in the variability of patterns of metastatic spread. A 56 year old female complaining of multiple mass in her left cervical region admitted to ENT clinic. Past history included a left nephrectomy for renal cell carcinoma in 2002 at that time,a mass had been removed by left radical nephrectomy. İn the pathologic examination of the dissected lymphadenopathies were the third of them in the superior were methastatic renal cell carcinoma, and the two ofthem in the inferior were reactively lymphadenopaties. And the control of the patient in the second and fourth months after the last operation has no abnormallity in the neck. The lymph-node metastasis appeared as a thick, irregularly walled cystic mass with a minimally enhancing or dense surrounding reaction that effaced the adjacent tissue planes. A bone scan showed no abnormality
